Paramount Staffing Reaches Fast-Growing Southeast with Acquisition of TalentForce
NORTHBROOK, IL. — Sept. 13, 2019 — Paramount Staffing—a temporary staffing agency focused on industrial staffing—acquires TalentForce and expands its presence into the Southeast. The combined company will generate more than $200 million annually in revenue with nearly 250 full‐time employees serving more than 800 clients with 55 offices in 12 states.
“Our acquisition strategy has been to identify companies who focus on industrial staffing, operate in states which are rapidly growing, and most importantly match up with us culturally. We have found that partner with Talent Force,” commented Paramount President Matt Schubert.
With 31 additional offices, the acquisition creates a strong staffing arm for Paramount into North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois and New Hampshire. TalentForce specialties include Light Industrial and Administrative/Clerical.
“Paramount Staffing and Talent Force are aligned culturally, geographically, and in our business model to provide outstanding customer service to our clients and employees,” added Schubert. “We are very excited about this partnership and the opportunities it will present.”
Both Paramount Staffing and TalentForce will operate jointly. Talent Force’s Chief Operating Officer, Bobby Walker, will continue running Talent Force and all current team members will remain in place.
“This partnership will provide more opportunities to build on established customer relationships and resources to create new ones,” commented Walker.
After Paramount Staffing in June 2018, Talent Force marks the second acquisition in the United States by Proman.
“We are pleased to welcome the Talent Force team in the Paramount Staffing family; this acquisition brings Paramount Staffing a very talented staff of veterans that will be led by Bobby Walker, COO of Talent Force. Bobby has been extremely instrumental in the development of Talent Force over the last 20 years and Matt and I really look forward to working with him and his team,” concluded Gilles Tanneur, Chief Executive Officer of Proman North America.

French Staffing Provider Entering US Market with Acquisition of Illinois-Based Firm
Press Release – Paramount Staffing, a Northbrook, Ill-based industrial staffing firm that ranked on the list of largest US staffing firms, was acquired by Proman Group, effective June 18. The Paramount Staffing brand will remain, and its executives and team members will stay in their current positions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Proman is based in France, and did not previously have a US presence. It plans to use Paramount as its platform for future US growth.
“The companies match up perfectly from a cultural standpoint, growth strategy, and outlook of the staffing industry,” Paramount owner Matt Schubert said. “The acquisition will create tremendous opportunities for our team members as we look to expand to more cities throughout the country.”
Schubert and his wife Tina launched Paramount in 1998 in Memphis, Tenn. The company then expanded into Illinois, opening seven additional offices over the next seven years.
Paramount ranked No. 117 on SIA’s list of largest US staffing firms last year based on reported revenue of $131 million for 2016.
Proman Group, founded in 1990 by CEO Roland Gomez and his wife, reported $1.8 billion of revenue in 2017 and operates 350 offices in France, Monaco, Switzerland, UK, La Reunion, Mayotte, Luxembourg, Belgium and Canada. The company provides general and professional staffing to the industrial, skilled trades, construction and professional sectors. It currently employs 45,000 temporary workers.
“The Paramount Staffing acquisition is a major milestone for Proman to access the largest staffing market in the world and we are delighted Matt and Tina along with [Proman North America CEO] Gilles Tanneur will spearhead Proman’s expansion in the US,” Gomez said.
Tanneur was Proman’s sole employee in the US prior to the acquisition. His main focus is to identify acquisition opportunities going forward. Additionally, he will work with Paramount Staffing teams to assist in developing and maintaining accounts.

How To Drive in Snowy Conditions
Driving in the snow can be a super stressful situation, with 17% of all weather-related vehicle crashes being caused by snowy conditions. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you have no other choice than to drive, even when it’s snowing out. Luckily, with a little preparation and an understanding of your car and how snow affects the road, you can prevent yourself from getting into a crash and stay safe while driving in the snow.
Here are three methods on how to safely drive in the snow.
First Method
1. Accelerate, decelerate, and turn much slower than normal. When you’re driving in snowy conditions, you should take your time because your vehicle may take longer to react than usual. Slowly applying the gas and gradually accelerating is the best way to gain traction when you lose traction in your rear tires. While you’re driving, decelerating abruptly or making sharp turns at a high rate of speed may cause you to lose control of your vehicle.
- Try to maintain a speed of 45 mph (72 kilometers) or less.
- Anticipate times where you’ll have to stop and decelerate slowly, far in advance of where you have to stop.
- Test your car’s accelerating, braking, and turning abilities on a clear stretch of road before driving to your destination.
2. Use your headlights. Test your lights before starting your trip in the snow. Make sure that they are visible from the outside and remove any of the built up snow that may be obscuring them. Use your lights during the daytime when it’s snowing because visibility is worse for all drivers on the road.
- Test your headlights and brake lights once a month to ensure that they are operational.
3. Accelerate steadily when going up hills and don’t stop. Don’t try to power quickly up a hill by slamming the gas pedal because it may cause a spinout. Try to gain momentum and use it to get up the hill. Don’t stop while going up a hill because your car could get stuck in the snow.
- When you are coming up on a crest of a hill remember to decelerate steadily in advance. You don’t want to go fast on a downward slope because you could lose control of your vehicle.
4. Increase your following distance from other vehicles. Following closely behind someone could cause an accident if you have to brake abruptly. Under snowy conditions, it’s recommended you stay 100 feet (30 meters) behind the car in front of you.
- Pay close attention to the brake lights on the vehicle in front of you in case you have to come to a sudden stop.
5. Stay alert and aware of your surroundings. While you should always be alert while you’re driving, it’s even more important to do so when driving in snowy conditions. Practice defensive driving and pay attention to other drivers on the road.
- Other drivers may not have the same level of skill when it comes to driving in snow, so they may lose control of their vehicle and cause a collision with your car or truck.
- Keep your radio turned down so you can hear if other cars are losing control or are honking their horns.

6 Ways to Stay on Budget During the Holidays
The holidays are here, and for many, it’s a season of spending.
If you’re worried about the pressure to spend on the most amazing gifts this holiday season while staying within your budget, the following tips will help you deal.
1. Institute a Spending Limit
One of the easiest ways to make sure you stay on budget is to limit how much you spend on gifts.
You can set these limits in a variety of ways. For example, maybe you decide to only spend $100 per family, or $50 per couple, or $25 per individual. Maybe you and your partner agree to only spend a maximum of $200 on each other. If you have kids, perhaps you decide to only spend $100 on them. The numbers don’t matter.
You might think it’s trivial to say you can only spend $10 on all of your nieces and nephews, but if you have 10 to buy for, that adds up!
2. Make a List and Check It Twice
Once you have your spending limits in place, it helps to create a list of gifts and what they cost so you can make sure you’re sticking to those limits.
It can look something like this:
Partner — $100:
- Shoes: $40
- Coffee mug: $10
- Sports jersey: $50
Mom — $50:
- Candles: $20
- Slippers: $20
- Nail polish: $10
Dad — $50:
- Trilogy book series: $25
- Coat: $25
Sister — $25:
- T-shirt: $15
- Bracelet: $10
3. Use the 4 Gift Rule
This is popular with parents for kids, but you can apply it to anyone. The key is to get something:
- They want
- They need
- They can wear
- They can read
And that’s it. You can use this in conjunction with your spending limits, but it also puts a limit on how many presents you can buy, which can help you focus your spending.
By focusing your efforts on these four areas, you can set expectations for the holidays going forward, which means less stress year-after-year!
4. Suggest a Gift Exchange
This works well for people who have huge families. It’s one thing if you have 5 or 10 people to buy gifts for, but buying gifts for 30+ people is a different beast. Your spending can very easily get out of hand when it comes to having that many people to keep track of!
So instead, try suggesting to your family that you all get together for a simple gift exchange. Each person brings one gift valued at $X, and you do the holiday grab-bag style.
5. Try a Giftless Holiday Experience
Some people get so caught up in the consumerism of the holidays that they forget what this time is all about: spending time with loved ones, kindness, and gratitude.
You can still experience holiday cheer by volunteering or donating during the holidays. For example, many places accept volunteers the morning or day of Christmas to help with activities such as meals and community events.
The point is you can create new holiday traditions that aren’t centered on presents. Maybe youand your family simply get together and have a meal, watch a movie, or play games. There’s nothing wrong with having unconventional traditions that focus more on giving than receiving.
6. Take the DIY Route
If your family doesn’t take to the gift-less or less-gifts suggestion, you can always save money by making presents yourself. This tends to be more thoughtful, and you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a nice present.
Since you can go down a rabbit hole of making all these presents, try sticking to one and buy your materials in bulk. It will be cheaper that way, and although DIY costs more of your time, it’s usually more fulfilling and less stressful.

Paramount Staffing Contribution for DVAM
Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) was launched nationwide in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues and raise awareness. Over the last three decades, much progress has been made to support domestic violence victims and survivors, to hold abusers accountable, and to create and update legislation to further those goals.
Paramount Staffing wants to thank YWCA of Memphis for allowing us to contribute and be a part of their effort to protect, support, and provide housing to women and children when they most need it.
The YWCA Shelter is a 27-bed facility that provides the only 24-hours, 7-days-a-week emergency shelter to abused women and their children. To protect the safety of their clients, the shelter is in an undisclosed location. The YWCA is the only women’s shelter of any kind in the city that allows mothers of teenage sons to keep their sons with them, provided the boy is attending high school. Residents of the YWCA shelter are provided with counseling, referrals, and connected with resources that can help them begin their transition to a new life free of abuse.
We are humbled to be able to give back to the community, and take our customer service beyond the office space.
